Ramadan Mubarak

From Your Health and Community Service Providers

As the world prepares to start the Holy Month of Ramadan, we extend warm wishes to all who are celebrating. Sadly this year, Ramadan comes at a time when global conflict and Islamophobia, locally and around the world, have led to stress, trauma and many members of the Ottawa region’s Muslim community to feel unsafe.

To our Muslim patients, clients, colleagues, friends and neighbours: we denounce all forms of hatred and will always stand up for the rights of all people, of all faiths, to live in safety and security, free from intimidation and violence. Your health and community service providers wish healing, wellness and safe observance during this Holy Month.

Below is an ad published yesterday in the Ottawa Citizen, which includes 58 health and community services providers, including SCS, working together and reaffirming our common stand against hate in all its forms.
