Camp Summary

Our weekly itinerary includes:

• A variety of escape room themed activities, such as learning how to decipher messages, solve logic puzzles, and detect clues
• Daily science investigations (learning about basic chemistry and physics)
• Arts and crafts projects
• Playing organized sports and activities both at the Manor and during field trips to close by Ken Ross Park, Larkin Park, and Moffat Farm
• Trying our real escape rooms and learning some of the well-kept secrets of Escape Manor Junior
• Who: Kids aged 6-10 as of their date of registration.

Inclusion/ Additional Support: We are proud to offer supportive programs for participants with special needs and requirements. This program allows campers the opportunity to participate in camp our programs with additional counselor support, ensuring that their experience is a positive one. Each camper will be assessed independently and assigned, with the help of the camper’s family, a one to one or low ratio camper to counselor experience. Please note that space is limited. Camp Summary

At Y Neighbourhood Day Camps, children and youth aged 4Y-12Y are active and engaged while taking part in a wide range of traditional or specialty day camp activities. Campers have the opportunity to learn new skills and have fun in local outdoor spaces, gymnasiums, swimming pools and activity rooms, as well as enjoy themed weeks and out trips. Y Neighborhood Day Camps are a great way to spend summer days having fun and creating friendships!

RA Camps is excited to introduce the One-on-One RA Camp Experience! The RA’s Inclusive Recreation Supervisor, the family, camper, and a dedicated special needs camp counsellor will work collaboratively to tailor the camp experience to suit the child’s specific needs and interests throughout the session.

This program aims to offer individualized attention and support, allowing each child to flourish in a safe and comfortable environment. Our approach provides dedicated 1:1 support for campers with additional needs where the child is paired with a dedicated counsellor who is hand-picked for their compassion, patience, and commitment. Your child will thrive in this personalized environment, enjoying all the excitement of camp while receiving tailored assistance helping to ensure that they can participate, learn, and create memories.

Camp Summary

Camp Otonabee provides the opportunity for children and youth to engage in outdoor activities and discover the natural world. Campers will acquire new skills, build self-confidence and establish lasting friendships. Campers can choose from specialty camps, out tripping programs, two and three-week leadership camps, or participate in our day camps – all located just minutes north of Kanata! Camper activities can include canoeing, climbing wall, high ropes, kayaking, swimming, orienteering, nature education, and more.

GENERAL PROGRAMS | AGES: 4Y-13Y

General programs offer a well-rounded experience for campers who want to participate in all aspects of camp! These are our Kinder, New Discoveries, Pioneers, Explorers, and Young Wonders programs. Campers in General Programs have the opportunity to participate in several different areas of camp which allows for a diverse experience. These programs are great for first-time campers and campers who love variety.

SPECIALTY PROGRAMS | AGES: 6Y-13Y

Inclusion: To best support children at camp, please make us aware of any diagnosed or undiagnosed cognitive differences or Behaviours your child may have early on. Making us aware early on will help our coordinators arrange for any additional supports that may be needed. If your child requires integration support at school, they will likely need it at City of Ottawa camps. 1:1 Shared Care support can be offered at no cost for 2 weeks. Please be advised that Shared Care is based on a first-come, first-served basis.
