The SCS Board of Directors was established in 1995.

About the Board

  • Consists of volunteers from our community
  • Oversees SCS in the interests of the organization, in a way that reflects the mission, vision and values of the organization and is respectful of its Constitution and Bylaws
  • Determines the vision and strategic direction for SCS

The Board is responsible for the management of the corporation, such as:

  • The Executive Director performance assessment
  • Overseeing and participating in strategic planning of the corporation
  • Board policy

We are seeking volunteers from within the Ottawa and Eastern Region. Ideal candidates have demonstrated experience with Board duties and governance issues and exhibit strong leadership and expertise in areas such as:

• Government Relations;
• Marketing;
• Community Leader;
• DS Sector knowledge.
